Updating Connectivity Settings on the Zebra ZQ310 Mobile Printer
Technical Difficulty (9/10)
This connectivity update should be performed by someone experienced with installing software and updating settings on devices. The process requires that the printer be fully charged and that a roll of paper is installed prior to starting.
Description
The ZQ310 Mobile Printers are used by many industries for different purposes since they are reliable devices and they provide Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity that allow users to use them in a variety of scenarios.
The ZQ310 printers come, by default, with their Bluetooth antenna turned off; this means that they have their WiFi antenna turned on. Our Hero mobile app is designed to send information to Android and IOS devices via Bluetooth; therefore, the Bluetooth antenna must be turned on in order to pair it with these devices.
The easiest way to turn the antenna ON is by pressing the feed button for 5 to 10 seconds until you see the Bluetooth icon flashing in the printer's user interface. That enables Bluetooth, and Android and IOS devices should be able to find and pair the printer; however, these printers might not be discoverable yet. You need to send some commands to the printer to turn the discoverable connection on.
Warning! If you are planning to use this printer with different IOS or Android devices, it is essential to unpair the printer before pairing it with a different device. Make sure the printer is on and not idle when unpairing it; otherwise, you might have connectivity issues.
The next steps show how to change the discoverable mode on.
