Learn what the District Dashboard is and how to use it.
Please note: This article is intended for school group users.
What's included in this article:
Overview
The District Dashboard provides a high level view of district-wide performance. Users can see the percentage of guardians and students with accounts, compliance and user engagement rates, and recognitions and tardies per students at a glance.
📍 Important note: District Dashboard percentages will be calculated from all schools, so data can be skewed if one school doesn't track or log information in Hero.
School Comparison
The School Comparison allows users to compare data across schools within the district. Data sets can also be downloaded as a CSV. Read below to learn about each report.
Equity report
This report displays information related to race and ethnicity equity and gender equity. Users can view different types of logged behaviors, including positive, negative, tardy, and neutral behaviors by race and ethnicity or gender across schools.
Where does this data come from?
- When schools import race, ethnicity, or gender data, the data can be mapped to Hero's standard codes.
- By clicking on the gear icon in the upper right corner, users can map text to Hero's standard codes. For example, if input data has unique abbreviations or multiple formats, these can all be mapped to Hero's standard codes to display on this dashboard.
📍 Important Note: If a group is not mapped, it will appear blank.
Tardiness
The Tardiness report allows users to view tardiness per school per day. Views can select date parameters of "one week", "one month", "per month", "month to date", and "year to date."
📍 Important Note: Tardy codes need to be marked as the tardy type to populate here. For example, if tardies are marked as a negative action type instead of a tardy type, they will not populate on this report.
Recognition
The Recognition report allows users to view recognitions across schools. Views can set date parameters of "one week", "one month", "per month", "month to date", and "year to date."
📍 Important Note: Recognition codes need to be marked as positive to populate here. If recognition actions are marked as a negative or neutral actions, they will not populate here.
Compliance
The Compliance report is a quick way to see if actions are being complied across schools within the district.
Fidelity
The Fidelity report shows user behavior across schools within the district.
📍 Important Note: This report could be skewed if an active user does not log any actions because this report displays averages.
Engagement
The Engagement report shows if a student has a guardian email when students are imported into Hero across schools within the district.
